Our skate sharpeners, or "Neighbours," are experienced individuals who have been vetted to ensure high-quality sharpening services. Many have backgrounds in hockey, pro shops, or professional sharpening.

How much does it cost?
Pricing varies based on the service and location, but our goal is to offer competitive and convenient sharpening at fair rates. You can see pricing details in the app before confirming your booking.
How do I pay for the service?
Payments are processed securely through the app using credit or debit cards. We do not accept cash payments for bookings.
Can I tip my Neighbour?
Yes! While tipping is optional, you can tip your Neighbour through the app after your service is completed.
Service & Quality
What type of skate sharpening do you offer?
Our Neighbours provide traditional skate sharpening as well as custom hollows, including:
- Standard Radius of Hollow (ROH) sharpening (e.g., 1/2", 5/8")
- Flat Bottom V (FBV) sharpening (availability varies by provider)
- Custom profiling and blade adjustments (select providers)
The services offered by each Neighbour may vary and you can narrow your Blade Neighbour listings for the specific Hollows or services you'd like.
How long does a sharpening take?
Most sharpenings take between 10-15 minutes, but the exact time depends on the condition of your skates and the sharpening method chosen.
What if I’m not happy with the sharpening?
We stand by our service quality. If you’re not satisfied, reach out through the app within 24 hours, and we’ll work to make it right.

To become a Neighbour, you need:

- A clean and professional setup (home-based, mobile, or rink-based)
- A smartphone to manage bookings
How much can I earn?
Earnings vary based on demand, location, and the number of bookings you complete. Our Neighbours set their own availability and can make solid extra income during peak hockey seasons.

Can I book a sharpening for my entire team?
Yes! We offer team and bulk sharpening services. Contact us in advance through the app or website to arrange a team booking.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
You can cancel a booking through the app. Cancellations made within one hour of the scheduled time may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Do you sharpen all types of skates?
Yes! Our Neighbours can sharpen player skates, goalie skates and figure skates. Just let us know your preferences when booking and be sure to book a neighbour with the equipment you need.
